82nd Entry Reunion 2012 This years reunion was held at: Hilton St Anne’s Manor Hotel, London Road, Wokingham, Berkshire. On Friday 18th May / Saturday 19th May 2012.

The majority attending assembled on the Friday afternoon and the annuual entry meeting, attended by 16 members with apologies from 9 absentees, was held at 5pm. The minutes of 2011 meeting were read and approved. The entry fund stood at £1044.24 before income and expense for the 2012 event. It was decided that the 2013 reunion , being organised by George Wade and Ian Boyd would be held at ….. The Redwood Hotel and Country Club, Beggar Bush Lane, Failand, Bristol BS8 3TG on the 17th and 18th May. Rip Kirby volunteered (yes, really) to organise the 2014 reunion. The ‘ex-Brats’ and ladies assembled for an informal BBQ style meal on Friday evening, enjoyed by all but consumed indoors as the weather was not too inviting. The weather improved on the Saturdayand various adjacent locations were visited, including The Farnborough Air Sciences Trust and The RHS Gardens at Wisley. A total of 32 persons, including guests and our ladies, all dressed in their finest and who always grace such occasions attended the formal dinner on Saturday 19th May. Iam sure that, despite looking splendid, some of the lads certainly including myself had to struggle into their D.J’s as the advancing years catch up with us! Enough said! Mike Pond welcomed everyone to the dinner and passed on messages from absent friends. He thanked John and Doreen for organising the whole weekend and sincerely thanked the assembled ‘hard core’ who continually support our annual reunions. The raffle raised £170.00 to add to the entry fund. Following the dinner and raffle, various “war stories” and moments of nostalgia were recalled until final retirement araound ‘the witching hour’. After a hearty breakfast on the Sunday morning, most departed in our various directions and we look forward to meeting again in May 2013 in Bristol.
